                   Know your range, Time your hits!

  If you're working up to a smash attack, it's common for an enemy to strike while you're working up to the final blow. Then you start all over! Try to start at a distance so that the final hit (smash attack) hits him. If done right, the first hit he takes is your greatest blow, and you don't have to start over 
                    working up to your smash attack.
